Sr. Vice President, Mainstream Business Unit

Amkor Technology is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President (SVP), Mainstream Business Unit to lead global and strategic initiatives across multiple product lines. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our legacy packaging technologies and optimizing our international manufacturing footprint. The SVP will serve as a key interface with Tier 1 customer business teams, driving high-impact strategies that elevate revenue and gross margin. This individual will define, and concurrently manage multiple programs through internal management systems.

This is a leadership position requiring deep industry expertise, exceptional business acumen, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment. This role offers significant visibility to the executive leadership team and requires a demonstrated ability to provide clear departmental ownership while defining and executing both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.

• Define and execute long-term business strategies for multiple product lines, aligning with corporate goals and market dynamics
• Lead transformation initiatives including factory rightsizing, operational efficiency, and global capacity planning to meet customer demand
• Provide leadership to a diverse team of 35 professionals across product lines and geographies
• Champion innovation and technical differentiation to maintain competitive advantage in legacy packaging technologies
• Analyze market trends and key competitor business/market strategies; identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with sales and manage customer relationships to gain an intimate understanding of the market while helping to define the technical marketing strategies
• Oversee global program management across multiple factories, ensuring alignment with financial targets and customer demand
• Align cost reduction, standardization, and system/process optimization initiatives in partnership with manufacturing sites and customers
• Ensure internal systems are in place to manage concurrent programs and track performance metrics while driving the development of teams
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Mentor and develop future leaders within the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; MBA desirable.
• 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, with business unit management and a focus on IC packaging is desired
• Demonstrated success in managing P&L, driving revenue growth, and leading strategic transformations
• Deep understanding of IC package design and the tradeoffs involved in process development
• Proven experience in factory optimization, including rightsizing and expansion initiatives
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills required
• Ability to operate independently and effectively within a complex, global matrix organization
• Willingness to travel: 20% domestic, 20% international
• On-site presence required: minimum 4 days per week

Location:

Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
