Overview
We are growing! AMK Electric LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team on either a part time or full-time basis. This job involves providing expert electrical services across various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience in residential and commercial settings. EV charger installations as well as residential service calls/upgrades a plus. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable to work and share industry knowledge with your Apprentice. You will be an intricate part of our team working in diverse environments. We offer a flexible schedule and great work environment, along with PTO and all major holidays off.
Duties
- Ability to operate a mini-excavator and maintain hoisting lisence-training and certification provided if needed.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems
- Perform wiring for renovation projects, new construction, or upgrades involving low voltage and power distribution
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete installations and repairs
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure project specifications are met
- Conduct inspections to ensure electrical work complies with safety regulations and building codes
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician, including construction site experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
- Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is highly desirable
- Experience in renovation projects and working on construction sites preferred
- Knowledge of frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
Pay: $37.00 - $50.00 per hour
