Job Description
AMJ Financial WM is seeking a full-time Portfolio Analyst to support our investment team. The role will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager in managing day to day portfolio research, modeling, and trade execution. The Portfolio Analyst will also be expected to provide support in our proprietary investment process and perform ad-hoc analysis related to our strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide economic and investment research
- Prepare model adjustments and document changes
- Compile trades for review and execution
- Prepare weekly/monthly portfolio reports comparing actuals to benchmarks
- Maintain firms rebalancing software (iRebal and Black Diamond)
- Interact with clients via phone, email and review meetings
- Review reports for client meetings to ensure accuracy
- Assist in onboarding of new clients
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably a CFP or CFP candidate, CFA or CFA candidate
- 1 - 3 years investment related experience
- Passionate about helping Clients achieve their goals
- Desire to learn new financial concepts and strategies
- Strong analytic skills and keen attention to detail
- Knowledge in investment software tools
- Strong Excel skills
- Great organizational skills and attention to operational controls
- Problem solving skills to improve team efficiency
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor in a high volume, fast paced office environment
- Flexible personality and strong ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated
