- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with an unencumbered license.
- Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
- Evidence of initial TB test or screenings and other exams as required by law.
- Ability to perform clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to accurately evaluate patients' health status and identify potential complications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to manage medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Compassion, empathy, and patience to provide holistic care and support to patients and their families.
- Knowledge of various medical procedures, equipment, and supplies commonly used in home healthcare settings.
- Ability to use the electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant healthcare software.
Operations/Administration:
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local government laws and guidelines as well as CBC Home Care policies and procedures.
- Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and following all appropriate standards.
- Verbal or written report to physician as necessary regarding client's response to services.
- Secure/coordinate equipment and supplies for the client as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain current RN/LPN license and required continuing education per State BON.
- Obtain initial TB testing/screening and other health exams as required by state regulations.
- Be aware and adhere to all federal and state regulatory standards.
- Timely completion of CBC assigned education, in-services, and skills day.
- Adhere to CBC policies and procedures, Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and Rights & Responsibilities.
- Adhere to Department of Corrections policies and regulations (if applicable)
- To ensure the health and safety of individuals.
- Practice safely and competently.
- Any other related responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
Education/Competency/Work Experience:
- Accredited and current RN license.
- Bachelor's degree (BSN), Associate degree (ADN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
- Direct care experience.
