Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitative techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting updates to the supervising PT
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Adhere to all state regulations, clinic policies, and professional ethical standards
Requirements:
- Active Connecticut PTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, patient-centered environment
- Prior clinical experience or internship in an outpatient or orthopedic setting is a plus
