Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Compliance Leadership: Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring full alignment with all Connecticut state pharmacy laws, federal regulations, DEA guidelines, and HIPAA standards.
- Meticulous Record-Keeping: Maintain complete oversight of all pharmacy logs, drug distribution documentation, controlled substance tracking, and legal records.
- Immunization Services: Administer vaccines and manage vaccination program workflows in accordance with Connecticut state protocols.
- Patient-Centered Care: Provide attentive, personalized medication counseling and build lasting, trusting relationships with our local community.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise, schedule, and support pharmacy technicians and staff in a positive, collaborative environment.
- Inventory Control: Direct drug procurement, monitor stock levels, and manage vendor relationships.
- Healthcare Collaboration: Work closely with local physicians and providers to optimize patient therapy outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Immunization Certification: Active Connecticut Vaccine Administrator Certification (or state-recognized equivalent) required.
- Experience: Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but first-time managers are fully encouraged to apply!
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical record-keeping, drug interactions, dispensing software, and regulatory compliance.
