About us: Amity Die & Stamping is a leading metal stamping company established in 1943. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Toolroom Manager to lead our tool and die operations. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring our production lines are consistently supplied with high-quality, functional tooling.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage daily toolroom operations, including maintenance and repair of tooling.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of toolmakers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime.
- Oversee tooling inventory and manage procurement of new equipment, materials, and spare parts.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the toolroom operates in compliance with all safety protocols, including OSHA and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a toolroom, tool and die, or related manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- Expertise with manual and CNC machines, EDM as well as experience with CAD software.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
