About Us
For over 15 years, we’ve sold high-quality handcrafted Amish furniture online. We are opening a new retail showroom in Urbandale and are looking for a strong sales professional to build our local clientele from the ground up.
Position Overview
This is a sales-first role. The showroom is new, and success depends on outreach, relationship building, and attending exclusive, pre-booked shows and events.
To start, the showroom will be open by appointment only or part-time during peak shopping days, with the opportunity to transition to full-time (with benefits) as business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and actively build a local customer base
- Attend exclusive shows and events to generate leads and close sales
- Follow up with prospects and develop long-term client relationships
- Manage showroom appointments, operations, and inventory
- Process orders and track sales
- Use websites, email, and social media to support outreach
- Use Excel and Word for sales tracking, planning, and organization
Requirements
- 1 year of sales experience with an outreach focus
- Confident initiating conversations and closing sales
- Strong computer skills: internet, social media, Excel & Word
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Some college required; bachelor’s degree preferred
