Job Overview

New London Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for a 13 week travel assignment. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with medication preparation, sterile compounding, inventory management, record keeping, and pharmacy operations in an inpatient and infusion setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and hazardous medications in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> guidelines.
• Compound non-sterile medications following USP <795> and USP <800> standards.
• Perform chemotherapy and hazardous medication compounding.
• Utilize closed-system transfer devices to minimize hazardous drug exposure.
• Assist with medication inventory, stock maintenance, and record keeping.
• Support investigational drug protocols and maintain preparation records.
• Maintain pharmacy computer systems and software.
• Work closely with pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate medication preparation.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Days)
• Rotating weekends (typically every 3rd weekend)
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Weekend rotation includes 4 hours of compensatory time the following week

Requirements

• 2 years of current Pharmacy Technician experience (Required)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – Required (NCCT not accepted)
• Active New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician License
• Strong experience with IV sterile compounding and chemotherapy compounding (Required)
• Active AHA BLS Certification
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Must have housing secured prior to submission

Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
