Plant Controller

A top-tier automotive supplier is seeking a key financial leader to join their production facility near Anderson, SC. This pivotal role requires close collaboration with plant management to offer crucial financial insights, facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes, and enable informed business decisions.

This professional will serve as an essential partner to the operations team, ensuring precise financial data reporting and adherence to accounting and corporate standards.

Key Duties:

• Collaborate with plant team to deliver financial insights and guidance for strategic decision-making.
• Direct budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting at the plant level.
• Assess production performance, cost structures, productivity metrics, and profit margins.
• Generate monthly variance analysis covering production outputs, material consumption, scrap rates, labor costs, and operational expenses.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Create analyses for contribution margins, profitability assessments, and financial scenario projections.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement of processes, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
• Track financial outcomes and advise actionable strategies for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting guidelines, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Drive the advancement of financial reporting and control mechanisms through continuous improvements and automation.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and present findings to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant financial management roles.
• Industry experience in automotive manufacturing is essential.
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of plant operations, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and adept with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving prowess with effective communication skills.
• Ability to seamlessly collaborate across departments such as operations, finance, and leadership.
• Meticulous with a forward-thinking and solution-focused approach.
