Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Control access points utilizing access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed reports, managing conflict de-escalation, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary
- Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors to ensure compliance with security regulations
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting during equipment setup or emergency situations while adhering to safety standards
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviors and intervening appropriately
- Execute emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, fire safety protocols, and evacuation plans
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles within environments such as corporate facilities, retail stores, or military settings
- Familiarity with surveillance tools like CCTV cameras and alarm systems
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and legal standards related to security operations
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, firearm handling, and conflict management preferred
- Ability to perform background checks accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties including standing for extended periods and heavy lifting when required
