Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, health status, and any changes in condition
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring and repositioning patients safely
- Support patients with meal preparation, feeding, and proper nutrition intake
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients in the home
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and supervising nursing staff regarding care updates
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all home care protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Active and valid CNA certification in the state of Maryland
- Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to patient homes in the Rockville, MD area
