Job Overview
Amigos Deli is looking for an experienced short order line cook. Duties include fullfilling guests orders and prepping items for the menu.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items and other menu offerings according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to support the kitchen workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and prep areas, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours.
- Follow all food handling and safety regulations to guarantee a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring supplies, reporting shortages, and ensuring proper storage practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent food quality.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak English and Spanish is a must.
- Ability to read and execute prep & menu item recipes to help uphold & maintain food quality.
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food industry practices such as food service, food handling, and restaurant experience.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude focused on delivering top-notch service.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
