JOB SUMMARY:
Prepares and cooks meals and drives truck over established route to deliver prepared meals, mail and supplies to Centers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepares and cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
Prepares meals for clients requiring special diets.
Examines filled trays for completeness and measures temperature to ensure food is delivered in conformance with standards.
Washes and cleans kitchen and delivery equipment such as food warmers and ovens.
Checks supply levels; stocks merchandise such as cleaning items, plates, and napkins.
Delivers mail and other items to Centers.
Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants and accessories.
Qualifications:EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Class C driver’s license, acceptable driving record as required by insurance carrier and County issued health card.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
Ability to read and write English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, volume and distance.
