Assistant Dispensary Store Manager
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (1 YEAR MINIMUM)

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our Rio Rancho dispensary team. This position is intended for someone who can support the current management team while learning the store’s operations and taking on increased responsibility over time.
For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to grow into a General Manager position based on performance, leadership, and operational knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager with day-to-day store operations
- Help lead, organize, and support a team of budtenders
- Assist with employee scheduling, shift coverage, and attendance
- Serve as a trusted key holder and assist with opening and closing the store
- Handle cash counts, register reconciliation, deposits, and other cash-handling responsibilities
- Help train and onboard new employees
- Monitor customer service and overall employee performance
- Assist with inventory counts, stocking, organization, and discrepancy reporting
- Make sure daily tasks and store procedures are being completed properly
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional dispensary
- Communicate staffing, inventory, customer, and operational issues to management
- Help enforce company policies and expectations consistently
- Ensure employees follow applicable New Mexico cannabis regulations and company compliance procedures
- Step into additional management responsibilities when the General Manager is unavailable
Qualifications
- Previous cannabis dispensary experience required
- Previous management, assistant management, shift lead, or similar leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience supervising or leading budtenders
- Strong cash-handling and reconciliation skills
- Comfortable with key-holder, opening, and closing responsibilities
- Experience with employee scheduling and shift coverage
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and comfortable taking initiative
- Able to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
- Strong attention to detail with cash, inventory, and compliance
- Familiarity with cannabis POS and inventory systems preferred. (Dutchie, NMS2S)
- Knowledge of New Mexico cannabis regulations preferred

The ideal candidate is someone who can be a strong second-in-command today and has the potential to confidently lead the store in the future.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
