We are actively seeking a highly motivated, innovative and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Vendor Management. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Position Summary:
The primary objective of the position is to serve as a central point of management for organizing and facilitating cross-functional efforts to improve vendor performance and build and advance productive plan-vendor relationships. The Director of Vendor Management is responsible for the overall oversight of the vendor relationships and the deliverables and activities contracted with the Plan.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, maintenance, and overall execution of a comprehensive work plan composed of the projects/initiatives necessary to drive performance improvement, achieve vendor performance goals, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement performance metrics and analytical reporting as part of a comprehensive vendor performance monitoring/management/oversight efforts at the health plan.
- Analyze and distribute accurate, comprehensive, and timely data and reports on vendor performance including service level agreements.
- Lead – organize and facilitate the successful operations of – the Health Plan Operations and Committee meetings with operational business owners from across the organization.
- Collaboratively prepare for and facilitate the successful completion of quarterly delegated vendor oversight meetings with vendor resources and operational business owners.
- Function as the liaison between vendors and cross-functional areas to ensure all operational and regulatory requirements are timely and accurate.
- Oversee day-to-day vendor relationship and performance tracking, ensure all vendor performance issues are resolved maintain record keeping of all Vendor Oversight Committee meetings and deliverables.
- Monitor and maintain Vendor contracts, with executive support from the Sr. Director of Claims/Encounters and Vendor Management and other stakeholders.
- Supports all vendor SDOH external and internal audit needs.
- Ensure successful onboarding/offboarding of delegated vendors.
- Analyze stakeholder needs; identify gaps and risks.
- Manage in ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
- Motivate, mentor and support project team members.
- Continuously advocate for the delivery of business value
- Organize and facilitate ongoing metric reviews to identify new opportunities for improvement.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, Health Administration, or related field; Master preferred.
EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED
- Five to seven (5-7) years’ experience in working either in a health plan setting or as a vendor supporting a Health plan or any combination of the two.
- Demonstrated ability and experience with organizing and facilitating enterprise wide cross-functional initiatives, spanning across people, process, and technology.
- Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues when necessary; advocate for responsible solutions to project problems.
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise, and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers, and staff.
- Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups and impact the activities of others not in own reporting structure.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong PC Skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Project, and Visio).

Salary : $112,840 - $141,045
