Roles And Responsibilities
- R&D / Program / US Commercial FP&A:
- Work closely with the members of the global finance team and partner with the business teams to prepare budgets and forecasts, monthly statements, strategic analysis and ad hoc analysis/reporting
- Develop an in depth understanding of key business drivers of the Amicus business in order to communicate how these drivers impact the Amicus business and how these are to be reflected within the Amicus financial statements
- Build relationships with business units heads and subject matter experts to become a trusted finance business partner to assist in accurate forecasting and strategic analysis
- Work closely with wider finance teams to align accruals, contracts, purchase orders and invoices to ensure a high level of accuracy and comparison to budgeted amounts.
- Consolidating the Global Forecast and Budget and variances to budget and forecast, working closely with the CFO, Global Finance Teams and SVP FP&A / Decision Support & Analytics to ensure optimal business delivery, timeliness and accuracy
- Provide monthly reporting including P&L and cash variance analysis
- Assist in the administration, maintenance, and development of PBCS software to support decision making and own the process of global consolidations within PBCS
- Financial input is provided to all business decisions and financial analysis and modelling are completed to a high standard and in particular focus on
- Identifying and explaining material budget vs actual variances by department
- Leading preparation and presentation of a financial/ management package for review with the US
- Performance Management (which encompasses both management reporting and financial planning
- Support to individual managers regarding financial and business planning processes (Budget / Forecast)
- Working with controllership team and business teams on month end accruals Reconcile and track headcount for US departments
- Other Support: may also support the Global FP&A team with additional ad hoc project and program management support. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent financial management qualification, or experience is required
- Pharma industry experience highly desirable
- 10 years of experience in financial planning & Analysis or equivalent
- Experience in budgeting / planning in pharmaceutical/Biotech clinical programs
- Strong team leadership skills with a proven track record of team success
- Leadership experience in a global environment with experience of working in cross functional projects
- Strong business acumen with a business partnering mindset, always thinking about how Finance can help drive business

- The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is between $253,000 and $270,000 year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for various benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan (401K), paid time off, performance-based bonuses, stock options, restricted stock units, and other discretionary awards. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided during the hiring process.
