Electrical Controls Project Manager – Data Center Construction

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Project Manager to join a leading General Contractor delivering a major ground-up data center development in Michigan City, Indiana.
This is a site-based position responsible for managing the electrical controls scope across a large-scale, fast-paced mission critical project.
The successful candidate will have a strong General Contractor background, hands-on knowledge of electrical controls systems, and experience delivering complex construction projects. Previous data center or mission critical experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical controls packages from preconstruction through installation, commissioning and closeout
- Coordinate controls integration with electrical, mechanical and other MEP systems
- Oversee installation and integration of BMS, EPMS, PLC and SCADA-related control systems
- Manage controls contractors, subcontractors and vendors on site
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and change orders
- Coordinate with electrical teams on switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution and associated controls
- Work closely with commissioning teams to support testing, functional performance and system turnover
- Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement and reporting for the controls scope
- Identify potential design, installation and integration issues and drive them through to resolution
- Ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven Project Management experience with a General Contractor
- Strong background in electrical construction and controls
- Experience managing controls packages on large, technically complex construction projects
- Knowledge of BMS, EPMS, PLC, SCADA and electrical control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and their integration within mission critical facilities
- Data center or other mission critical construction experience preferred
- Strong subcontractor, schedule and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based construction environment

Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
