Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Member to join our dynamic logistics and distribution team. This role involves supporting various warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping, receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and a strong understanding of safety protocols, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with warehouse management systems and heavy machinery is highly valued to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform order picking accurately using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems
- Load and unload shipments utilizing forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery safely in accordance with OSHA standards
- Handle materials efficiently for shipping and receiving processes
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper inventory management
- Assist with the movement of goods within the warehouse, including stacking and storing items securely
- Support warehouse supervisors in daily operations and safety compliance tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts and mechanical tools to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety guidelines for heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklift, crane, pallet jack, clamp truck, and heavy lifting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic equipment issues
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety
- Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems efficiently
- Strong materials handling skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management
- Experience in construction or heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership roles
- Mechanical aptitude for maintaining operational readiness of equipment
