- We are seeking Process Technicians to support semiconductor device analysis and metrology operations in a nanofabrication environment.
- This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing semiconductor samples using advanced microscopy and failure analysis tools.
- Technicians will work closely with process engineers and technical teams to collect imaging data, document results, and support process development and troubleshooting.
- Prepare and analyze semiconductor samples for structural and compositional analysis
- Operate advanced microscopy tools including SEM, FIB, TEM, STEM, and EDX systems
- Collect and document imaging and compositional data from nanostructures and semiconductor devices
- Prepare samples using hand cleaving techniques and micro-cleavers
- Handle small samples ( 5mm) using tweezers and microscope tools
- Communicate imaging results and analysis findings to engineering teams
- Assist with developing and optimizing sample preparation and analysis techniques
- Train users on equipment operation and maintain training documentation
- Support continuous improvement of lab and metrology operations
- BS degree in a Physical Science field or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience working with SEM, FIB, TEM, STEM, or related electron microscopy tools
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle very small samples under a microscope
- Ability to work compressed 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Semiconductor industry experience
- Failure analysis or metrology experience
- Experience with EDX, EELS, or PEELS analysis
- Experience with Hitachi or ThermoFisher microscopy tools
- CAD layout or device analysis experience
- Work performed in a semiconductor cleanroom environment
- Requires manipulating very small samples using precision tools
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Standing, bending, and working in confined spaces may be required
- Use of cleanroom garments and PPE required
- Work may involve exposure to chemicals, electrical equipment, and high-voltage systems
- Semiconductor or microchip manufacturing training/certificates are helpful but not required
- Experience takes priority over formal education
- Long-term contract with potential for contract-to-hire
- Interview process includes face-to-face technical interview
