Cafe Amici by Amici Group is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. The position involves preparing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and consistency.
- Operate POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Manage food safety standards by handling food products properly and maintaining cleanliness throughout the café.
- Assist with food preparation tasks including basic food handling and serving food items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas to ensure a safe and inviting environment.
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math for transactions.
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, food safety protocols, and food preparation standards is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing sales transactions effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week
