Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The Hospice Nurse will provide end-of-life care and support to terminally ill patients and their families. This role requires a high level of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide comfort and dignity to patients during their final days.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide skilled nursing care including pain management and symptom control
- Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on end-of-life care options
- Ensure patient comfort and dignity throughout the hospice journey
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Requirements
- Valid lvn license
- Previous experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred
- Knowledge of infectious disease care, medication administration, and case management
- Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and catheterization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Additional certifications in areas such as pediatrics or ophthalmology are a plus
Pay: From $100.00 per day
