Title: Host
Reports To: GM, Assistant Managers
Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for approaching all customers immediately that walks through the front door with a “WOW” greeting and gigantic smile. They should have a clear visual understanding of how the dining room flows. They should have the ability to approach tables and back the servers up with drinks and pre-bussing when necessary.
Specific Duties:
- Greet the customers with a WOW getting and gigantic smile immediately of them walking through the door. The “WOW” experience is the feeling the customer has after exiting the restaurant. The ENTIRE experience, not the greeting is what the “WOW” comes from!
- Understand the movement of the dining room and have the ability to maintain control.
- Know the table numbers.
- Know the formula for quoting customers an accurate wait time when necessary.
- Know how to use the Aloha system and take accurate orders when necessary.
- Have a good relation with all other staff members.
- To do all side work asked of you and follow all check lists.
- Assures that all host areas are cleaned and organized through out their shift.
- Follows appropriate uniform policy.
- Continuous cleaning of the restaurant, including the front door and all areas that the customer sees first.
- Always arrives to work on time.
