About the Role
We are seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain our internal and client-facing IT environments. This role blends administrative IT operations, network administrator, and hands-on field work as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure, low voltage wiring, access control, CCTV, and hands-on experience with Linux, Sophos security solutions, and network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios). You’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable networks and integrated solutions for our clients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both structured IT administration and real-world technical deployment.
Compensation
- $55,000 - $65,000
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain network infrastructure (wired/wireless, switches, firewalls, routers)
- Perform low voltage cabling and structured wiring for data, AV, and security systems
- Deploy and support access control solutions (Brivo, PDK) and CCTV systems (Eagle Eye, Sophos, Brivo)
- Configure and administer Linux servers and network appliances
- Implement and manage Sophos firewall, email protection, and endpoint protection solutions
- Implement and manage network monitoring and alerting using Zabbix, Nagios, or similar tools
- Troubleshoot network, security, and connectivity issues (remote and on-site)
- Collaborate with technicians and project managers to deliver custom integrations
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in IT services or integration
- Proficiency with low voltage wiring, cable termination, and security/IoT device installation
- Hands-on experience with access control (Brivo, PDK), CCTV (Eagle Eye, Sophos, Brivo), and VoIP systems
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Experience with Sophos firewall, email protection, and endpoint protection
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, or similar)
- Familiarity with firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and managed switches
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be based in Las Vegas, NV or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CCNA, Sophos, Eagle Eye, Brivo, or related
- Experience with automation/integration platforms (Lutron, Control4)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, kneel, crouch, reach, and work with tools as required
