Licensed Esthetician

Position Summary: 

We are looking for a compassionate advanced esthetician to perform skin, body, and hair removal treatments. The esthetician will consult with clients to assess their requirements, make informed recommendations and explain services, assist them to select appropriate treatments, and ensure their care and satisfaction. The esthetician will ensure treatments start and end on time. You will maintain knowledge to promote and sell services and retail products. You will ensure work areas are clean and tidy, equipment is sanitized and linens are clean at all times, and treat clients in a courteous and empathetic manner.

To ensure success you should meet revenue goals, ensure client retention, and build a solid client base. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, caring, and professional, and have the ability to make others feel good about themselves.

Core Responsibilities: 

• Improve the skincare of the customers by evaluating a customer’s skin condition and offering recommendations for treatments and follow-up appointments
• Make recommendations for future treatments, and pre-book appointments
• Inform guests about specials in all departments, holiday gifts, packages, and anything that might correspond to their needs
• Perform facials which include exfoliation, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and other skin refinements
• Recommending skincare products to customers, including lotions, facial washes, and moisturizers, so you can sell products to meet sales goals
• Provide Facial and full-body waxing to the best of your abilities
• Continue to improve your techniques by reading, experiencing, training, and watching 
• Research past experiences your guest has had so that you may better serve them
• Maintain beauty and skincare tools properly, and keep treatment rooms sanitized, clean, and stocked at all times
• Promote a positive atmosphere and come to work with a smile
• Immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind
• Assist with laundry daily
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: 

• Professional License must be current with TDLR requirements 
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the field
• Able to bring your own clientele (preferred)
• High work ethic and self-initiative 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a talent for making people feel comfortable and better about themselves
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
• Extensive knowledge of skincare techniques
• Strong time management abilities
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines and working events is required
• Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain staff and guest confidentiality  

Physical Requirements: 

• Thoroughly and efficiently perform services to clients 
• Sit, stand, and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill job duties
• Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies, using safe lifting techniques 
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to communicate daily completions and needs of the department
• Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, and hearing ability and visual ability needed for job duties
