What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Key Accounts position at AMI Group?
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sales activities, coordinating and leading customer meetings and supplier visits, and addressing and resolving delivery and product-related inquiries to ensure a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities include tracking forecasted sales vs. actual sales, validating profitability targets, identifying new sales opportunities, following up on sales leads, managing responses to customer RFPs, and collaborating with internal support teams to meet customer expectations.
The role will receive targeted training, working closely with the Sales Director and internal support teams. Training will cover our company’s background, mission, values, and provide an in-depth understanding of our products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate comprehensive account information to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure accurate product and service specifications for both internal and external parties
- Lead trade show preparations and coordinate strategic appointments and site visits with customers and suppliers
- Analyze and maintain sales data, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement with the Sales Director and leadership teams
- Collaborate with operations and suppliers to proactively address challenges
- Motivate internal teams and suppliers to meet and exceed customer goals
- Work with the Account Director to gather and organize RFP responses, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Consolidate and review performance metrics for quarterly business reviews
- Contribute to budgeting, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Passion for food, beverage, travel, and aviation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in MS applications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
- 3-5 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving targets
