$30 an hour plus excellent tips, usually an extra $20 an hour.
Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic Captain for our Fishing Charter (6 Pack) operation. Fishing experience not necessary, will train.
Trips usually begin at 8am and are usually between 2-4 hours, we usually have multiple trips a day.
Boat is in the water, no trailering of the vessel necessary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and navigate the fishing vessel, ensuring compliance with all maritime laws and safety protocols
- Lead fishing trips, providing expert guidance and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience
- Manage vessel rigging, maintenance, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Oversee crew management, including scheduling, training, and assigning duties during trips
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vessel’s safety equipment and fishing gear
- Communicate effectively with guests, crew, and emergency responders when necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, safety checks, maintenance activities, and incident reports
Requirements
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license
- No fishing experience necessary, will train
- Will assist employee with obtaining Charter Captain License.
