Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Solderer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soldering and assembly, with experience in working with various electronic components. The Solderer will be responsible for assembling and soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components onto PCBs according to schematics and work instructions.
- Perform soldering tasks using hand tools and equipment, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct inspections of assembled products to verify quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to soldering and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality control measures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize knowledge of logic controllers, surface mount technology, electrical wiring, and machining as needed during the assembly process.
Experience
- Proven experience in soldering, particularly with surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly tasks, including soldering irons and other related equipment.
- Experience working with PCBs and understanding electrical components is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience is helpful.
- Long periods of sitting, and standing
- Require good eye hand coordination and digital dexterity.
- Experience in manufacturing a plus.
- A strong work ethic, career ambition, and physical agility and stamina.
Location
AMI is located off route 202 about 10 minutes west of Augusta and 30 minutes east of Lewiston.
