Warehouse Supervisor Position
Local, family-owned and operated trucking company with 50 years of service in the Quad Cities has an opening for a full-time warehouse position. Forklift experience required. Must have a good work ethic, and a valid driver's license (Class A CDL Preferred). Excellent benefits package that includes paid vacation, holidays, sick leave and 401K retirement plan.
Duties:
- Operator forklift to accurately and efficiently move, transfer, load, or unload cargo and/or equipment in a warehouse or onto trailers for shipment (where applicable) in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Accurately stage and sort cargo for loading.
- Assist drivers when preparing to leave or returning to the yard and preserve hours of service.
- Inventory shelving, bins, and storage cabinets to ensure tarps, straps, chains, binders, dunnage, etc., are available and in good condition to distribute to drivers.
- Inspect and Inventory tractors and trailers, load or unload tarps, straps, chains, binders, and dunnage in accordance with the equipment checklist, Restock tractor/trailer with securement devices when necessary.
- Store equipment in proper places in the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including trailers after unloading, and dock area as needed.
- Must be able to lift over 75 pounds.
