Food Service Helper-SDS

FOOD SERVICE HELPER 10 -MONTH

SALARY: $16.50 per hour

HOURS: 27.5 hrs/week -School Days Only- (Mon. - Fri. 7:30am to 1:00pm)

LOCATION: SMALLWOOD DRIVE SCHOOL

START DATE: September 1, 2026

DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Cash students and staff out during breakfast
• Serve students and staff lunch; following the NSLP regulations
• Work in dish room
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minor Food Preparation
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be able to understand, read and write and speak the English language proficiently
• Must be a team player.
• Experience working with elementary students preferred
• Experience is helpful, but not necessary
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees)- fingerprint procedure-attached

**Uniform Allowance, Fingerprinting reimbursed after 1 year of employment, paid sick, personal and snow days.**
