Accounts Payable Coordinator

Position Summary:
AMG Resources Corporation (“AMG”) is searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator to work at our headquarters in North Fayette, PA in office five days a week. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will focus on our freight payables.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Daily / Weekly Freight Invoice Processing
o Distribute freight invoices received via mail & email
o Retrieve freight invoices from major rail carriers’ web platforms
o Analyze freight batches and post freight plans
o Submit disputes via web to major rail companies
· Weekly Freight ACH/Check Payment
o Ensure all freight batches from Plants are posted
o Create freight payment batch and review pre-register payment selections
o Print corresponding freight reports
o Print checks and generate ACH file
o Match payment to vouchers and invoices
o Post successful payment batch
o Scan payment data to AMG document management system
o Mail checks and provide ACH file to Accounting for import to our banking platform
· Vendor Verification
o For any new vendor or change to existing vendor prior to payment, a vendor verification checklist must be completed
o Find phone number through independent source (Google)
o Call vendor to verbally verify changes to banking information or check remittance address
o Document interaction and submit checklist to appropriate channel to make the changes within the accounts payable system prior to vendor payment
· Other
o Special projects as assigned
o Limited research/resolution regular vendor payable disputes/differences via phone, fax or email
Education/Experience/Skills:
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related role
· Basic understanding of transportation industry preferred, not required
· Moderate to strong MS Excel skills
· Detail oriented
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to grasp computer applications (when trained)
· Strong math skills
· Ability to multitask
· Proficient verbal/written communication abilities
· Enthusiastic & motivated
