CDL Class A Truck Driver

Wheeling, WV

Summary:

The CDL Class A Truck Driver will be responsible for adhering to all DOT Rules and Regulations that govern the driving of a Commercial Vehicle including pre and post trip inspections, maintaining driver logs and maintaining a safe driving record. This position requires a current valid driver’s license with the appropriate CDL endorsement, a current valid medical certification card and a clean driving record.

This position is for a Full Time Company Driver with a minimum of 3 years of experience operating a CDL Class A Commercial vehicle including Roll Off and Gondola. Dump experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Must be able to read, write and interpret basic instructions and procedures.
2. Must be able to communicate with customers with tact and professionalism.

3. Must be able to follow all DOT Rules and Regulations governing Commercial

Vehicles.

4. Perform pre and post trip inspections.

5. Maintain Driver Logs when required

6. Maintain a clean truck keeping the cab free from debris and trash.

7. Wear the required PPE including steel toed shoes, hard hat and safety

glasses/goggles while on company premises and customer premises.

Job Duties:
1. May be assigned clean up duties.
2. May assist in maintenance, reporting all safety concerns and mechanical issues to

the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor.

3. May provide support for the scale operator, inspect loads, and keeping the scale

area and yard clear of materials and debris.

4. Maintain safe control of the vehicle at all times and obeying all posted speed

limits and driving restrictions.

5 Must be willing to work overtime as needed while staying compliant with DOT hours

of operation.

This position requires full range of motion (i.e. bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, and extension) and/or sitting, standing, and walking. This position will be exposed to all weather conditions and elements; must be willing and able to work in extreme heat, cold and inclement weather conditions.
