To perform intermediate duties and support related to branch operational activities and financial services.
Responsibilities:
New Accounts:
- Assist consumer and business customers and lenders in their selection of various accounts, products and financial services available from the Bank; present cross-sell opportunities by applying professional sales techniques.
- Interview customers to obtain information; establish proper identification of new customers; determine need and extent of reference investigation; assist customers in completing consumer credit applications.
- Discuss and accept merchant card applications for submission to the BankCard Services Department.
- Make decisions regarding the opening of new accounts; assign account numbers; complete forms requiring customer signature(s); verify credit history; accept initial deposits; prepare all documents and items pertaining to checking accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit for processing.Order customer checks, endorsement stamps and deposit slips.
- Discuss, prepare agreements for treasury management products. Gather the appropriate documentation for services requested, have signed and return to main office for review and approval.
- Set up approved treasury management services on the various systems. Assist with training clients on the products.
- Perform safe deposit duties by opening accounts, controlling access, assisting customers and assisting with performing audits as needed.
- Process funds received from customer through tellerline for initial deposits; determines funds availability and obtains receipt for customer. Place appropriate holds when necessary following the regulation guidelines to ensure compliance is met.
- Gather data and process various reports and callbacks. Send new account Thank You card. Complete BSA and Risk Ratings for each account holder, complete the On-Boarding forms.
- Accept new Visa Debit card application requests, and/or overdraft protection requests.Send documentation to main office for approval. Set up card in the Cardbase system.
- Operate personal computer to process account activity; determine balances and resolve problems within given authority.
- Provide effective customer service by answering customer questions; investigates and correct errors; and resolves problems or other issues.
Operations:
- Provide support to all assigned areas of branch operations where service or assistance is needed, including teller, vault teller, ATM, safe deposit, and bank by mail deposits.
- Assist with daily balancing of ATM, adding cash when needed, processing on-us deposits
- Monthly: assist with teller audits and security audits.
- Make transfers for clients, when appropriate.
- Receive and processes stop payment requests.
- Order checks, deposit slips and endorsement stamps.
- Report System - review, print, record, file, update information as assigned.
Teller:
- Perform all teller duties to include, but not limited to; processing deposits, withdrawals, stop payments, place appropriate holds of deposits when necessary, balancing teller drawer, transfer of funds, and research.
- Assist with opening and closing the vault(s) daily, assist in balancing vault currency.
- Issue official checks following bank procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; and word processing, spreadsheet and account opening software programs, including MS Word and Excel
