Role: Assists members and potential members with any financial needs, opens new accounts, processes account transactions and loan request, resolves problems, and provides assistance and information regarding products and services.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Experience - 2 years of experience with new accounts and consumer lending
Education - A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important, and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills - Must be able to maintain life insurance and NMLS registration. Must be able to utilize various electronic systems to obtain and enter information. Must demonstrate strong public contact and communication skills. Must demonstrate good judgment in order to resolve member issues and to offer other services. Must be current on all policies and procedures related to teller, new account, and be fully versed on all services offered by the credit union. Must demonstrate proficiency with all lending functions. Must be able to change job function as member traffic dictates to meet member needs.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to move around the branch and must be able to sit and stand for an extended period of time. Light lifting is required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Assists members and non-members with general to complex financial transactions and loan inquiries, including but not limited to business accounts and loans, consumer lending, real estate, credit cards, and other specialty accounts. Resolves problems that are within their authority in a timely manner. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- Post transactions and loan requests accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain records in accordance with credit union policies and guidelines.
- Promotes, explains, and cross-sells credit union products and services, including gap and warranty coverage, credit, and life disability. Anticipates the needs of our members and advises them appropriately.
- Conducts audits of system information and member documents.
- Acts as liaison between members and various departments.
- May represent the credit union in business partner visits, enrollments, and various civic functions in order to develop additional business.
- May train other employees in daily responsibilities.
- Provides notary services and medallion stamps to members.
- Responsible for rotating branch duties.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Provide informed, prompt, accurate service and support to all members and employees.
- Open all accounts, certificates, loans, and other credit union products or services accurately, ensuring all related forms and documents are completed and filed/scanned in a timely manner.
- Actively cross-sell products and services to members to achieve or exceed all established goals and assist in meeting branch goals.
- Represents the credit union in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable credit union policies and procedures.
- Maintain a satisfactory loan portfolio and quality loop score.
