Job Summary:
AMF is growing and looking for a Project Manager to support the engineering, fabrication, installation and testing of AMF Bakery System's products. The Project Manager will travel internationally and domestically about 40% of the time and is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of each project are on time.
How you will impact AMF:
- Follow the disciplines of the AMF PM Process.
- Support the continuous improvement mindset at AMF through tracking lessons learned and collaboratively developing plans to avoid repeating operational/installation challenges.
- Manage project budgets to ensure expected margins are achieved.
- Manage project timelines to keep on track and raise awareness when there is an issue. Manage the customer relationship as the single point of contact.
- Prepare for and manage FAT visits with customers to various manufacturing locations. (possibly including Europe)
- Lead project planning sessions.
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Managing large and diverse internal teammates and contracted resources on customer sites in support of equipment installations.
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
- Ensure customer invoices are sent at the appropriate times and follow up on delayed payments.
- Driving actions to complete punch lists as quickly as possible.
- Develop risk mitigation plans where necessary.
- Creating project review reports for engineers and leadership.
What you need to succeed:
- Mechanical aptitude 5 years' experience in Custom OEM equipment (Food and Beverage preferred)
- Knowledge of the baking process is extremely advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
