Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. This role requires a strong background in electrical work, construction, and roofing, with a focus on high voltage and low voltage systems. The Solar Installer will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver quality installations efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install solar panels, mounting systems, wiring, inverters, and related electrical components according to schematics and blueprints
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation
  • Work safely on rooftops and construction sites, adhering to OSHA standards and NEC regulations
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and forklift as needed for installation tasks
  • Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems while maintaining compliance with NEC standards
  • Install fixtures, conduit, wiring, and other electrical components for solar energy systems
  • Assist with plumbing connections related to system components when necessary
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards and client specifications
  • Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle all tools and materials

Experience

  • Prior experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical construction is highly preferred
  • Proven experience working on roofing projects or construction sites
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, NEC codes, high voltage, and low voltage systems
  • Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, fixture installation, plumbing, forklift operation, and roofing is desirable
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices related to solar energy systems is essential
  • Ability to work at heights on rooftops and navigate construction environments safely

This position offers an opportunity for individuals with construction or electrical backgrounds to expand their expertise into renewable energy installations. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in dynamic environments.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
