Job Summary
Amethyst Farm Equestrian seeks a skilled and experienced equestrian to manage the farm during the weekends. Applicants must be comfortable managing large, high energy horses, communicate well with customers, and be capable of basic equine first aid. Teaching and riding opportunities possible for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Supervise weekend farm activities and communicate issues or concerns with farm owners
- Oversee animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling horses with care and expertise
- Be capable of driving a small tractor or willing to learn
- Perform basic fence repairs
- Hay stacking when needed
Experience
- 5 or more years working at a horse farm
- Familiarity with high end sport horses
- Experience with equine wound care
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
