- Developing, planning, and implementing new process controls to maintain quality
- Performing analysis of machining operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with design engineers to optimize product design for efficient manufacturing
- Creating detailed work instructions and training employees’ new processes
- Addressing and troubleshooting issues that may arise during production
- Makes recommendations for improvements in products in terms of improved cost and quality.
- Trains and instructs other workers as assigned
- Always maintain a clean safe work area
- Complies with company rules, policies, and procedures. Reports any problems circumstances to manager
- May, on occasion, perform other related duties to aid other teams on request
- Experience as a Machining Process Engineer or similar role
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced high pressure environment
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is a necessity
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience with manufacturing machine equipment preferred
- Experience with corrosion preventative finishes a plus
- Ability to work for prolonged periods on a computer or in a lab environment
- Ability to move test equipment up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to support limited travel to support customers and testing as required
