What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at AMETEK and Careers?
- Inspect, repair, and overhaul safety components such as fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, oxygen masks, and cylinder/regulator assemblies.
- Operate test equipment (pressure gauges) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform welding and assembly tasks following detailed instructions and specifications.
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain compliance with FAA regulations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using manuals and provided training.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report any safety concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to learn – We’ll train you on specialized processes and equipment.
- Hands-on mindset – Comfortable working with tools and getting involved in technical tasks.
- Attention to detail – Accuracy matters in a regulated industry.
- Dependability – Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, work overtime and weekends as required by business needs.
- Team player – Works well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with hand tools or mechanical work.
- Familiarity with welding or assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions.
- Previous experience in regulated industries (manufacturing, automotive, aviation, aerospace, pharmaceutical) is a plus.
