What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at AMETEK and Careers?
- Responsible for producing quality products per IPC standards
- Follows work processes/procedures defined by AMETEK and ISO 9001:2015
- Follows work schedules assigned by Lead/Supervisor
- Use of hand and precision measuring tools
- Keeps work area neat and orderly, 6S
- Performs related duties as assigned
- Operates machinery to specification of manufacturer
- Maintain certified operator certification
- Observes all safety rules and policies
- Perform all first article inspection on setup
- Must require a minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience. Operator levels 1 - 5 will vary based on years of experience and scope of responsibility
High school diploma or equivalent - Basic computer skills
- Understanding of building printed circuit board assembly for production and prototype experience
- Read resistor color code, SMT component ID and basic math
- Read engineering drawings, OP sheets, BOMs and engineering design
- English, oral, reading and writing
- Computer skills, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Due to the nature of Programmable Power programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code
- Knowledgeable in performing setup/run SMT pick n place machine in accordance with established processes and procedures
