What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at AMETEK and Careers?
- Process customer requests for quotes using costs and gross margin targets.
- Provide product support to customers with assistance from Engineering, Quality and Operations.
- Manage quote follow-up, customer account review, and business development opportunities.
- Understand the customer’s and prospect’s problems and challenges and develop solutions to meet their needs.
- Negotiate price, terms, and conditions within a delegated level of authority.
- Process and manage purchase orders.
- Manage RMA requests in accordance with defined processes.
- Ensure timely communication with customers via email or phone or indirectly via internal quality/engineering departments.
- Monitor to ensure compliance within defined import/export regulations.
- Assist with technical questions and technical demonstrations internally and externally.
- Maintain records in compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree (technical degrees preferred)
- Ability to communicate professionally (written and verbal)
- Highly developed personal organization and time management skills
- Ability to balance shifting priorities
- Understanding of technical specifications or technical products
- Willingness to contribute to group meetings
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office applications)
- Experience using ERP and CRM systems (preferred)
- Commercial experience with Government Contracts or Defense market (preferred)
