What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator - 2nd Shift position at AMETEK and Careers?
- Operating multiple machines simultaneously while proactively keeping all machines in the department running.
- Making adjustments to assure dimension, tolerances, quality and highest accuracy of parts.
- Performing inspection of your parts and your co-workers' parts utilizing measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments.
- Performing minor editing of current programs.
- Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards.
- Communicating delays and problems effectively and timely.
- High school degree or GED
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of machining practices
- Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instruments
- 1 years of machining experience or a recent certificate in precision machining or related field
- Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results
