QUALIFICATIONS:
A qualified candidate will have previous automotive parts counter experience in either a retail store or other setting where finding the right part was an essential function of the job.
Wholesale Experience is a Plus!
- 2 Yrs of Automotive parts knowledge and experience
- Maintain an unparalleled level of urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate electronic cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Goal-driven and professional attitude with a willingness to grow
- A positive team-player attitude, trustworthy and dependable
- Maintain excellent customer relations, possess strong listening skills
- Interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale.
- Dealertrack experience is also a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for providing excellent service to all customers. They are the primary connection for our wholesale accounts and play a key role in providing accurate parts for our technicians to complete repairs for our customers’ vehicles.
- Work with service advisors and technicians to build accurate price quotes
- Ensure our technicians receive the correct parts and paperwork in a timely manner
- Professionally and energetically greet customers on the phone or in person
- Understands the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts
- Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source, submit emergency order, if necessary
- Notify customers when ordered parts have arrived, follow up on backordered parts
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need replenishment
- Understand delivery and shipping programs to adequately service customers
- Participate in training programs keep current on new products and updates
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend or kneel to floor-level shelves and reach overhead
- Assist in parts delivery if needed
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record

Final pay will be dependent on past experience, but will include hourly pay (plus overtime) plus a monthly bonus based on total department performance
