Trust Officer (Attorney)

We are seeking an Attorney with a current Iowa license, experienced in trusts and estates to serve as a Trust Officer at our Ames, IA office.  This position will manage the professional administration of fiduciary accounts, including but not limited to probate administration, trust administration, and conservatorships.  Our Trust Officers consult with clients and prospects, along with their personal attorney and tax professional regarding estate planning.  This position will also advise our Trust Department on pertinent legal matters. Other duties will include:

• Serve as a primary advisor for trust and fiduciary accounts, managing all aspects of client relationships
• Meeting with existing and prospective clients to build new relationships and maintain existing relationships.
• Collaborate with outside legal and tax professionals to serve as part of a client’s financial team.
• Work with Portfolio Manager to review client investment portfolios.
• Make written and verbal presentations to Trust Committees.
• Ensure compliance with the applicable internal and external laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Participates in seminars and social events for clients and prospects.
• Promote the bank through community involvement and leadership.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor and current Iowa Attorney's license.
• Strong working knowledge of probate, trust, and estate planning
• Experience in business development a plus
