Internal Auditor - Loan Compliance

Ames National Corporation, a multi-bank holding company based out of central Iowa, is seeking an Internal Auditor with a focus on loan compliance to join our team! The Internal Auditor will contribute to our Mission by helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws, bank regulations, internal policies, and by helping to safeguard Company assets for Ames National Corporation (ANC) and affiliate banks. Additional duties for the position include:

• Coordinating the consumer lending portion of the Internal Audit Program.
• Conducting independent audits and preparing written audit reports.
• Coordinating and attending the Compliance/Risk Management Committee meetings at assigned banks to discuss compliance and audit related issues with bank management and prepares written minutes from the meeting which are provided to the Board of Directors at each bank.
• Participating in affiliate bank regulatory exit meetings.
• Managing the lending portion of the FDICIA internal control testing program for all banks including performing walkthroughs of control processes and conducting loan specific testing.
• Assisting external auditors and bank examiners as needed.
• Ensuring follow-up for deficiencies cited in bank examinations, internal audits, and external audits.
• Assisting other audit team members as needed to keep all bank audit schedules current.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
• Five years' experience in bank audit, consumer lending, public accounting, or bank regulations or any combination of listed areas.
