Position Overview
As an Experienced Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting project management and field operations. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure successful execution of complex civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support to field teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Track costs, quantities, and production to maintain project budgets.
- Support procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction projects (highways, bridges, utilities, etc.).
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DOT projects and public infrastructure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
- Familiarity with estimating and cost control processes.
