What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Assistant Casual position at Amery Hospital & Clinic?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a lab assistant at Amery Hospital & Clinic, you are
responsible for collecting various sample types (with phlebotomy as the
primary mode of collection), processing patient orders for testing,
following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and providing
collection instructions to patients for urinalysis, stool, and other
sample types. At the core of what they do, laboratory assistants must
exhibit a high level of trust in their abilities to put the patient at
ease and provide a safe, warm and pleasant experience for our patients.
Work Schedule: Casual position - shifts and hours will vary depending on
department need Required Qualifications: High school diploma or
equivalent 2-3 years detailed work environment with proven
organizational skills, high level of computer knowledge. Phlebotomy
experience needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in EPIC computer
