Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with care plans and safety protocols
- Supervise and support staff members, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Administer medications accurately and monitor residents’ health status in accordance with healthcare guidelines
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance resident well-being
- Manage household tasks such as budgeting, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, organized environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, ensuring residents’ safety and well-being at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or long-term care
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in healthcare or residential settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, and Alzheimer’s-specific needs
- Familiarity with developing and managing care plans tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments
- Excellent organizational skills for handling operations management tasks such as budgeting and resource allocation
- Ability to administer medications safely and competently in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Compassionate communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
