Position Summary

The Housekeeping Laundry Aide is primarily responsible for processing hotel linens, towels, bathrobes, and staff uniforms to support daily room turnover and guest satisfaction. This role also provides housekeeping coverage as needed to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry (Primary)

• Collect soiled linens, towels, and uniforms from guest floors, housekeeping carts, and designated bins
• Sort items by fabric type, color, and soil level; pre-treat stains before washing
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and pressing/ironing equipment
• Fold, stack, and store linens according to hotel standards; maintain par stock levels for each floor/section
• Deliver clean linen supplies to housekeeping carts and storage closets in a timely manner
• Inspect linens for wear, stains, or damage and remove unusable items from circulation
• Track and report usage of detergents and laundry supplies to supervisor
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room in compliance with hotel and safety standards

Housekeeping (Secondary/As Needed)

• Assist room attendants with making beds, replacing linens, and restocking guest room amenities
• Clean and tidy guest rooms, hallways, and public areas during high-occupancy periods or staff shortages
• Vacuum, dust, empty trash, and sanitize surfaces in guest rooms and common areas
• Assist with turndown service or same-day room refreshes when needed
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost & found items to the supervisor

Qualifications

• Prior hotel, hospitality, or commercial laundry experience preferred but not required
• Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction standards
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended shifts
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Team-oriented with the ability to shift priorities between laundry and housekeeping duties as guest needs demand

Work Environment

• Fast-paced hotel operations setting
• Exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals (PPE provided)
• May require movement between laundry facility and multiple guest floors

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
