• Position Summary**\
  
  

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various heavy

machinery to support rail track construction projects. This includes

equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, and bulldozers. The

role also involves equipment maintenance, adherence to safety standards,

and occasional track laborer duties as required.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

• Operate loaders, backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy
  
  

equipment to load, haul, and unload materials, equipment, and

supplies.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of assigned
  
  

equipment, report defects or required repairs to the supervisor, and

ensure equipment is clean.

• Perform all tasks in compliance with company safety standards and
  
  

procedures.

• Assist with track laborer responsibilities as needed.

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as backhoes and
  
  

front-end loaders.

• Willingness to travel to job sites for extended periods.
